Dearest Jocelyn, We met 73 yrs. ago at age 13! I've been thinking about different episodes in our life and funny little details that have stayed in the back of my mind. How my mother used to call you her "itty bitty baby #2". How we talked on the phone every night until our party-line began shouting for us to get off J How Betty took us all ice-skating, you & Audrey, Bebe & me. You and I practised a very fancy step where you turned backwards with a big jump with me holding your hands, and some man came out on the ice to warn us that we would damage ourselves. We were falling heavily all the time. L We finally gave up. We had so many lovely days at Eaglecrest together! I remember how we went swimming in the Hycroft swimming pool one January and I did a lovely belly flop which brought on a terrible stomach ache. I stayed in bed the next day and you arrived from classes at UBC and came into my room and snatched away my hot water bottle and called my mother at her office to call a Doctor. You saved me from having a burst appendix! The Doctor called the ambulance and operated an hour later. You were my heroine! And you have been a marvellous Godmother to Susan and she has always adored and loved you and your whole family. Jocelyn, I couldn't have picked a better friend. I love you dear. And always will.
